Not that I know, because she would have been on the 5:30 Morning News, or and present London opts? Not sure
Well today Faye Barker did the London opts and the news at 5:30, so Ali just did the daybreak news I assume.
Sorry I meant that Ali hasn't done daybreak News because of doing either 5:30 or London opts not daybreak and london opts, that's not possible
Right sorry I misunderstood! Yeah Ali I would say is a regular freelancer (if that's the word!) on the 5:30 news and then the same Newscater always does the London opts during daybreak. This is the wrong thread (should be the relaunch thread) but this does raise the point that if Daybreak goes down a Showbiz route, they could get the 5:30am newscaster to do ITV News branded bulletins from ITN, then that could give them a more leeway to let the main show go more showbiz with the news bulletins using a more serious newsworthy brand (Certisnly more newsworthy than daybreak!)
I've just watched back ITV2's Beat TV, a programme broadcasting throughout the Olympics at 18:30 from Studio 7. It's amazing to see how much they've redecorated the daybreak set for this programme, but does show how an alternative Daybreak set design encorporating the windows, but not using them as the main feature may have originally worked out rather than going down the route of yellow blinds, fake walls & hardly any view in sight.
