Certainly to a lesser extent but I was surprised the later series of CBB - not so much the regular series - still got on The Star front page pretty much every day despite the connection between them and C5 ending

Which we won't see again seeing as Les blocked his footage. Or he certainly had when Channel 4 ran a documentry on CBB.


I felt a bit sorry for Les, it was bad timing for him with the whole Amanda Holden saga going on, I reckon he would have a much more enjoyable time if he went in today

I guess as the main reason C5 bought Big Brother was to put it on their papers and sell them, the still put it on their papers if they thought it would sell copies even after they no longer owned Channel 5.

Of course they no longer own the papers either, having sold them to the Mirror.

It seems Channel 5/Viacom were going to be devious and were planning to acquire their episodes of Big Brother back once they heard about Channel 4's plans... except they were going to schedule them on MTV in direct competition with E4

Interesting that it seems Channel 4 can use their own episodes, but Channel 5 would have to have re-aquired them from Endemol, is there some sort of difference in the rights agreements? I know when Challenge showed Countdown a few years back, they had to acquire it via Channel 4, not ITV.

I wonder why they would have chosen MTV rather than 5Star, their 5 branded youth orientated channel.

Yeah, doesn't make sense picking a satellite channel over a Freeview one. This isn't a big new US drama they're talking about, it's just reruns of a Channel 5 show.

Considering C4 are supposedly uninterested in a revival they are really pushing this - interviews all over the place this weekend with Davina, Rylan and a few ex-housemates, and as well as being promoted heavily on C4/E4 they've bought airtime on ITV too. And on top of all that Davina and Rylan are doing the continuity on E4 today.

Rylan’s done a couple of announcements on Channel 4 today as well - complete with the iconic “please do not swear!”.

Did have to laugh in the press pack interview when Davina said when her kids ring her to come and pick her up she laughs to herself in shouting "I'm Coming to Get You" down the phone. They'll probably soon be of the age she can evict them too.

It was associated with the show, it doesn’t matter who actually said it.
