Did Davina really have a spell out in the cold? Since she’s left Big Brother she’s done loads of stuff and constantly got work. I know she had issues before Big Brother but she wasn’t really established then.

As for Brian, it does seem like he was treated badly in the way they got rid of him and they could have done something to keep him on board, but he does come across as bitter and probably isn’t doing himself any favours.

Brian isn't the first presenter to be replaced on a TV show and he won't be the last. Same thing happened with Kate Thornton on The X Factor.

That being said, it can't be a coincidence that Brian was let go from Big Brother only two months after Ben Frow started at Channel 5.

It's no secret it was his decision. Agree with Jon - he isn't doing himself any favours and his CV of presenting gigs since Big Brother show why the decision was made.

I suspect too had he not been invited to record a message he'd have been moaning about that too.

It’s all very similar to the Fern Britton This Morning 30th birthday fiasco.

The big difference here though is they clearly want to airbrush the fact Brian ever presented the show.

Ultimately I guess with Big Brother the moments people remember don’t involve the presenter as with the main show they only appear on screen once a week for no more than about 20 minutes.

That recently came back into light after Fern gave an interview saying ITV wanted shot of her after the gastric band fiasco which also tarnished her relationship with Schofield.

For this drama... I believe Brian is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill here. I get that he might still be bitter with the makers over how he was sacked, but he's taking it out on the wrong people here. It's been clear the E4 programme only references the Channel 4 days. Therefore little prompt to have Brian on the show or to mention him as anything other than a housemate. Not many people remember his years that he hosted anyway so I don't get why they would mention it. Him taking it personally that he wasn't mentioned is his own issue that he shouldn't drag other people into.

If any presenters have been airbrushed out of history by these shows it's Russell Brand and George Lamb.

The show got the Gogglebox treatment again last night - I don't think Maureen Lipman will be able to look Rula Lenska in the eye when they eventually go back to work at Corrie.

Surely the most airbrushed out of history is the woman who presented BBLB with George Lamb for about a week before getting sacked.

They never did present the main show though. In the case of Russell Brand I suspect he sees Big Brother as a bit below him now and most people will forgotten or not been aware of George Lamb’s association with the show.

Are you thinking of the one who presented with BBOTS with Rylan for a bit? Can’t remember if she presented it for a week or a whole series.

Edit: AJ Odudu
Further edit: looks like you’re talking about Zezi Ifore

Yes I meant Zezi, though it looks like she actually presented it for a month not a week.

Zezi Ifore! I'm sure I read somewhere that one of the exec producers had spotted her at a party and offered her the job on the spot! I'd love to know the full story behind her getting hired. From what I can see she had literally no presenting experience (and you could tell) so it's just bizarre that they'd take a punt on her for what was still a fairly important E4 show.

Even more forgotten is that Natalie Casey of Two Pints of Lager was a co-host for the very first week on the first BBLB during BB2 (according to Wiki). I assume she wasn't very good and was dropped?
