Yeah, I've actually seen that unextinguishable ring of fire on another clip show (and for crying out loud, they were probably just using the wrong type - CO2 vs H2O - so it's more Shocked than Laughing), and that Blue Peter elephant clip has been doing the rounds for years. As for Catchphrase, did they have to use an episode where Walliams was a contestant?

Is that the black and white clip of the ring of fire with the presenter dressed as a pixie dancing round? If so that's much repeated clip from the early days of Alright on The Night.

I missed this but IBAOTN is one of my all time favourite programmes, I'm not sure I dare seek it out to see what it's like

That's the one. I saw it somewhere last year. On Channel 5, I think?

Probably, but it's a very worn clip, from Alright on the Night 3 or 4?

I notice it's on next Wednesday night too, but called 'Revenge of Alright in the Night'

This sounds like ITV are nicking titles from the Pink Panther.. Next one Curse of Alright of the night?

Finally caught up with this and actually it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. Yes there's a lot of old clips but that was mentioned at the beginning.

The laughter was annoying and some clips weren't given enough time but there was some new stuff. However a lot of those were ones that had gone viral and everyone's seen. I'm surprised they didn't include the BBC News Korean Skype call

The trouble now is shows exploit their own bloopers, either by releasing online or as DVD extras, and increasingly leaving them in the show

Yes, though I did enjoy The Chase's outtake programme on ITV last night

The Chase will probably be remembered for two things: Fanny Chmelar and what they call Andy Capp in Germany. And those clips will probably still feature in Alright on The Night in its next incarnation, alongside the Blue Peter elephant and the fire that won't go out. I can see the BBC News SkyPE call making it as well.

I caught up with it over the weekend. Found it enjoyable enough.

My biggest criticism was that I thought the cartoon David Walliams looked nothing like him...

It looks more like former Emmerdale and Corrie actor, Ian Kelsey.

From an early popular kids show Pixanne. Ironically, that clip is only one of a handful that remain because the entire archive perished in a warehouse fire.
