You don't seriously think he'd sit in a box for 44 days with no food, do you Shocked He'd probably have glucose in his water or something.

And when he wants to take a whizz, do the cameras turn away? If so, he could scoff a 'Big' Mac or something.

David Blaine won't be in the box for 44 days. Something will happen in the mean time that will make the trick alot more impressive, such as the box falling into the Thames and David Blaine appearing elsewhere.

Didn't realise he was supposed to be doing a trick.

Maybe this will make more sense when I have not been drinking vodka Shocked

Have you taken that picture with a digital camera pointed towards your tv set?

Fraid so! I know that you can see the lampshade reflected. Can't afford a capture card at the moment...

Why on earth did they have Nicky Campbell??? He just wasn't good, possibly not suited to it and probably the last person you'd expect to see on Sky. Though most of the show was just clips of Blaine doing some Street tricks. Nothing to exciting.

They should have got Eamon Holmes IMO. Laughing

Well to be quiet honest the only remotely interesting thing about it was when Blaine got in the box, and was being elevated in the air. As has already been mentioned, that was the point at which Sky ended the transmission. Rolling Eyes

It's not a trick. It is perfectly possible to live 44 days without food. No pleasant, but apparently plenty of people have done it.

When they said "the period of day 30 to 50 is unknown" they meant they couldn't predict what would happen, not that they don't know what *could* happen.

The other "feats" (Vertigo, Frozen in Time and the buried one) weren't tricks either - there was no need as they were all things a relatively fit person could do if they had the will, and a reason.

Also, I didn't notice but nobody mentioned his ear! I thought it was silly to promote a supposed genuine feat by doing a cheap trick like that.

He is an illusionist. Nothing more, nothing less.

When he brought a fly back from the dead, it had been frozen beforehand. When he put a cigarette through a coin, it was a specially made coin. He did not cut his ear off at this week's press conference, just as he didn't rip his heart out on an American chat show.
