why are all you people so bitter?would you rather this man to have no ideas or expectations and be working in a factory?i think the nation has yet again shamed itself with their embarressing behaviour.its a shame that people feel the need to reduce others to ****.
There is nothing remotely interesting about what David Blaine has done. The only time I've heard people talk about it is "Is he dead yet?"
If it was in aid of charity, I'd support him. But it isn't. It's in aid of David Blaine's ego fund. Furthermore, he's a liar - he doesn't levitate, nor freeze himself in a block of ice. Illusionists admit they're fakes - he doesn't.

It's because it wasn't all the impressive. It was obviously a trick. He looked fairly healthy as he left the box. We only have the word of the medics that he actually lost weight.
In my opionion, he was shown the contempt he disserved. He philsophical ramblings are all part of the act. They don't impress me at all, i'm afraid.
He's not an artist. There's nothing at all entertaining about this stunt. He's just sat in a box for ages. Starving or not, it was boring.
art isnt entertaining.its supposed to make you think about the way you exist in the world:about coming to terms with existence.
i think you must be all boring.
the man reduced himself to nothing:a small fragile man looking upon the world.only him, himself alone with his thoughts.why cant you see how incredable that is?

No.
Because during the early hours he was exchanged with a body double and spent the best part of 3 hours eating and shagging his missus, before coming back to the cage just in time for the second window clean.
That programme was the biggest pile of sh ite I have ever seen on tv.
The programme content was awful and not suitable for 9pm showing - even though it was after the watershed!
The programme quality was even worse where it appeared as if someone was filming the 'crowds' gathering on a small dv cam but with the digital zoom on full power causing the awful effect that we saw on screen.
Also who-ever shot certain pieces must have filmed in 4 x 3 rather than widescreen and made the effect look even worse!
The lack of any presenter and direction of the programme made it feel very shoddy and thrown together and was the worse quality programme i have ever seen on british tv!
There is not one good thing i can think about the programme - and David Blaine came out saying that everyone was so positive blah blah - he wouldnt be so positive after seeing that montrosity of a production!
Bizzare style from the show so far tonight. Was that Simon McCoys voice bellowing out at Tower Bridge?
Oh honestly, how on the cheap is this programme ? Have they disposed of the presenter, and linking it by a booming Simon McCoy voiceover interspersed with spectators comments. Mind you Nicky Campbell was really poor, maybe he'll appear later.
How bizarre is all of this, Blaine stood there with what appears to be blood dripping all over him flicking cards at the screen. This is utter crap. All this stuff they are showing is padding, and nothing to do with this latest stunt. Why are Sky indulging this nutter to such an extent ?
Apart from that initial link at the start, was there anyone presenting at all?
I was switching between Blaine, the extended Tony Blair heart coverage across all 3 news channels, a 2-part episode of Jonathan Creek on UK Gold which I'd forgotten the ending to, and Radio 5 Live - but what I saw made it look like they'd gone to a reasonble effort with the camera angles, but it was all mainly playing in items off VT.
Perhaps because despite the length of the stunt, there was very little new which could be said about it?
(My money's on the water, by the way..)
EDIT: I should add - I find a strange sense of justice in the fact that the whole event was completely overshadowed by the news about Tony Blair - even Sky News have virtually ignored it as a result.
