Yeah, I remember when this was first shown. They have to cut a lot out to fit in the ad breaks, but with that episode they did seem to take a lot out the end, while leaving the beginning mostly intact

I'm rather confused after watching Whose Line. Originally being shown on Channel 4, I was expecting the regular breaks but for some reason Dave cuts out of it like it was a BBC programme.

Yes, they edited out the part when they run away from the hillbillies.

It looks like all of the Top Gears are being butchered to have a total time of 1hour including adverts, instead of making it 1hr 10mins or similar to allow for adverts without cutting bits out. A bit of a shame, though I guess it messes scheduling up otherwise.

The repeats have begun - tonight's QI was exactly the same as yesterday's 2nd one.

I'm guessing the butchering is for the international market too. However i don't see why hey don't just cut out the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment, as most of the international audience won't have a clue who the 'celebs' are anyway. Only the most recent series has really got internationally well known celebs in. Plus i find the whole segment dire anyway, especially now they use it just to plug the latest thing the celeb is doing. I'd rather have the clip of the cow falling off the car (which was cut) than Hugh Grant talking about himself....

don;t there just cut the news out? that about 7mins

and I'm sure UKTV cut down from 12mins of ad to 9mins to try and keep the people watching?

is it still 9mins?
if so then some minor cuts and it down, also if there took the cheep car bit out then It would leave a gap!

also maybe with the US epoisde there should have done "2" 30 mins shows

I'm glad someone pointed this out, I noticed a bit of editing on the one with the fully British panel (the one with Merton & Slattery) where Tony Slattery does a improvisation to something pulled out of the hat, Clive Anderson says well done & then it cuts back to both Paul & Tony going back up the step even though only Tony went down to do it (obviously a rude gag there)

Watching this series, am I the only one who would love to see it back, you'd have to have Tony Slattery, Ryan Styles, Josie Lawrence, and others from the original series though. Peter Kay wouldn't really work on this Laughing although Bill Bailey would

What are Tony Slattery and Josie Lawrence doing nowadays? The last thing i saw Josie on was Paul O'Grady I think it was last year going into the west end.

Of course Colin & Ryan are still doing the programme in the US fronted by Drew Carry that can be seen on five US.

Bill Bailey would be interesting, as would Ross Noble in my opinion, in fact many of the panel show regulars would be good as they come up with quick witted answers on these shows.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the titles, I think the later titles put across the show in a much simpler form (if you remember them its where there's a line, and one by one characters are created from the line).

Put The Telly On
Tony Slattery had severe depression a few years back and only does bit part acting now i think.
