When they say 'technical difficulties', they actually mean a problem with the weather in London where this live event was meant to be happening. Maybe 'meteorological difficulties' would be a more honest continuity announcement. Anyway, they are showing Qi instead.

The CA seems to be live, " We're having a technical difficulty or two on Dave at the moment and are currently unable to bring you Red Bull X-Fighters but we are working hard to fix the problem - well, I say 'we' but I'm just waiting like you. ". It might be funny, but it is inaccurate and gives the viewer the impression that Dave is **** whereas if they just told us it was the weather, it would give the viewer the impression that God is a ******* and Dave would come off much better. Why take responsibility for something that isn't their fault?

A crawler has just appeared (twice) saying "Due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to bring you Red Bull X-Fighters" so maybe they have given up on it for the night. This page says it is still going ahead.

The EPG has not been updated and the event is not currently streaming on the Red Bull website either.

EDIT: The event is now being shown on http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/001242832270051 but is not on Dave. During a break in Qi there was a pre-recorded Red Bull X-Fighters competition promo.

They seem to be showing the Moscow round at the minute. Possibly as a filler?

Yeah, they replaced the scheduled repeat of the London event this afternoon with the Russian event and the Richard Hammond/Evel Kenevil programme. I wonder why, as the London event did go ahead last night.

Dave have changed their mind and now say that the programme wasn't broadcast due to the weather. The competitive event was cancelled too, but a non competitive showcase was put on in London instead but according to comments on Dave's site the organisers forgot to tell the paying public that they were watching a showcase.

This is what happens when you lie, children.

We are very sorry that Dave viewers were unable to view the London show on Saturday night. A number of factors, including bad weather and an incident during practice, caused significant delays to the beginning of the event. Unfortunately, at the point at which Dave needed to make a decision about whether to proceed with the broadcast, the track was not in a condition to be ridden safely.

At this point the broadcast was cancelled. We are working closely with Dave to put together the best possible highlights package of the event to make sure that you all get a chance to watch the Red Bull X-Fighters in action.

Dave has just confirmed that they will show Red Bull X-Fighters London on Sunday 22nd August at 9pm.

Red Bull X-Fighters.
