It does seem it was Friday 1st September it come in to use, maybe around evening when LWT started. IE befroe 6pm it was normal then afterwards it pooped up?

Still looking for details, but we also need help about TV channel:s

Home video club:
We know it started in Sept 1985, but what we want to know is when did it start broadcast porn films. The reason is, by 1992 it started the Adult channel but we believe before that porn was broadcast. Main reason for that new channel was to slipt up the content, we think. On top of that how many idents did it have?

It either started when LWT came on air at 5:15 or at 9:25 on the Monday. I can't remember which but have a feeling that we saw Thames' version first

I remember vividly it was the Friday before the schools went back, so that would have been 1st September. I was watching on YTV and the new idents appeared around 6pm. I assume the generic look was launched in all regions at the same time.

They may well have done. I only said it was around 6pm. In the case of LWT, this would have meant running a couple of junctions with the old pres, so maybe the new look launched at 5.10? I would have thought they would have rebranded when more people were watching though, so more likely around 6pm or even 7pm.

Tyne Tees definitely used the ITV ident at 5.40. Whether they used it at 5.10, I'm not sure, but I think they did because I recall one Bill Steel IVC segment at 5.10, and he went off-duty after that, with Lesley Manners taking the chair. However, as they did not use the ident during the day, and the 5.10 segment was IVC only with no ident, I'm not sure if 5.10 or 5.40 was the time they started (I'm pretty sure they started using the ITV-style 1989 IVC background earlier in the day).

This is the infamous "run backwards" ident/promo. They didn't use the main ident in front of it, and the start is cut off where they started with the ITV logo and ran it backwards into the montage, however the bulk of it is there.

It was I, for my sins, who described this promo to Andrew Bowden waaaaaay back in 1996, and it has become something of a legend since, with many people mentioning it but no-one else seemingly remembering it lol. Finally it crawls back out of the woodwork!
