Identify the correct year for the Pres.

I'm sure it changed to G Plus in February 1998, probably the 14th but don't bank me on that. It became Plus sometime around late 2002 if not no later than early 2003, but certainly later on during this period they started using the brand Crime Plus for most of the afternoon, all of the old programming was shifted to the morning or middle of the night, in hindsight although ITV3 killed off Plus around this time I'm glad they did, it wasn't the channel that it used to be.

What confusing is the + idents come in before the name change, I think it was 2000?

Not sure when in 2000, but it was sometime in 2000, I did have a closedown from that era somewhere amongst my vast VHS collection, but I have no idea what I've done with it.

One thing I'm 90% sure about is that Telewest called it Granada Plus right until just before it closed!

Freshly uploaded to YouTube this evening, a clip from Saturday 28th April 1990 that seems to suggest the stripe had yet to be introduced. Notice the style of the presentation " ECP", the use of the same font (Optima) used in on-screen promotional material when the stripe came into use, and the overall lack of the yellow "G" in the trailers and the IVC backdrop:

Did Granada have spring idents in 89 and 90?

December 1990 And its seems its ALL CHANGED AGAIN! it has the 1989 music but the 1990 ident BUT the formation is different.

That was introduced later in 1987, I couldn't tell you when exactly but it there are examples of it being used by August 1987, however the clock and IVC set didn't match for a while longer, instead they used the venetian blind look.
