With Border, I think the 1989 ident was kept until 1995 along with the pink but only kept for the news etc. Remember that strange 1991 ident that could have been kept until 92.

The World Figure Skating Championships were March 22nd-27th. That dates that particular video to Tuesday March 22nd, as the announcer says it's Tuesday. Seems entirely plausible that the flag look was only a day old.

This is what it seems to be with Border: It seems to make since, with all the facts that have appeared: On page 10 and 12, this should stop any further confusment people have!

Just to note that thät Evening Standard article mentions that the flag debuted "last night". This suggests that the Knight was still in use during the daytime of Monday 21st. The fact that the final appearance of the Knight and the premier of the flag were both done by the same continuity announcer, Michael Speake, suggests both occurred during the same shift. It makes sense, considering Anglia appear to have made a big thing of the change by having a lunch and an unveiling, complete with photo shoot to get the press interested. I guess the first use of the flag would've been the climactic event of the big day.

So, it'd be interesting to know what junction the first use of the flag was. After CITV? ITN Early Evening News?

I wonder if, like the Ulster Television/UTV makeover in June 1993, Anglia used the 6.00pm slot and that evening's edition of "About Anglia" as the time to officially unveil the new look on-screen?

Or, like the BBC COW launch, they went for the start of "prime time" and went for a 7.00pm launch?

I say 6pm as About Anglia got a new branded aswell.

The two clips are from a Tuesday. Peak Practice at 9pm on Friday. New episodes never went out a Friday around this time, it was a Tuesday favorite

In fact Series one was repeated on Friday, from 21st October until 9 December, 1994. I think its S1, Ep7 "LISTENING SKILLS" as its say something about affair.in that clip.

which means the Light blue look may have come in 1994, did it replace the pink look?
