Identify the correct year for the Pres.

By looking around at clips online then certainly it was introduced no later than March 1988, I can't be sure whether the News at 545 titles changed at this time too, but there's a clip on the PP somewhere of the Anglia flag ident being used before the old 545 titles.

ITN 5.45 news changed in April 1988, ( we had no actually date!, Its either 11, 18, 25 April....

Could the news at ten change over on the same day?

That STV clip is from the summer of 1988.

Actually could it be 28 March 1988? the same day ITN news at one was launched? Thus everything looks nice and upto date from the start?

Sorry, not too sure what you're referring to by time-linking to the prog endcap just there. The ident before it looks pretty standard as well, so unless I've missed something...

Ah, the programme slide... If it's worth anything - I generally don't recall HTV practicing that for one, so I'd be tempted to rule them out of it.

This is where its getting confusing about Scottish TV 1988 idents: It now seems there was 4 different set used: can anyone confirm the time periods?

The VT clock before the NAT titles on the NewsFilm Online PABs always says 24/04/1988 irrespective of the date of broadcast. Normally the date on the VT clock would indicate the date it was created, so I suspect it launched some time shortly afterwards - possibly early in May 1988?
