Why did Westcountry go with the UNM regions? Was it because HTV handled its transmission? Surely, Cardiff would've been able to have given Westcountry the London feed, if Carton had insisted on it.
It was because of htv.

Here were go again: ITV Night Time Junction - 4th January 1995
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er9hKdnl5eM
its claimed its from central area, Can anyone remember this being used in Central area? This also means the branding was kept in use for longer than first thought with Carlton.
More changes will need to be done.
Can anyone remember anglia using this from 1995 ?

It was because of htv.
I was pretty sure that had something to do with it but even so, why? Couldn't Culverhouse Cross have just flung a switch which let Westcountry show the London feed, if Carlton had insisted? Was there regional advertising in these pan-regional night time blocks? If so, I can understand that it would probably have been an issue regarding employing night shift staff to insert them. If not, surely it would've been 'flick the switch' and bed down for the night.

So, if Central were taking the Carlton overnight service - what did they take on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights?
It depends on when there started taking the service, which was Monday, June 20, 1994. so for for 8 months as you say what did it do?
* Central also Repeated first 95 episodes of Prisoner on Sunday nights from February 1993 until Sunday 1 January 1995.
* it had its own Fri/Sat/Sun line up until christmas 1994
* It from Jan 1995 it has near enough link up with lwt.
Of course in January 1995, Granada, HTv, Central, Carlton, westcountry, Lwt, Border and UTV all had the same line up but different branding.

Can you believe it, its been nearly a whole year since this "Campaign" started to improve Pres information.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped contributed in providing dates, hints and addition information, from BBC one to UK gold. Thus making sure the Community at large has proper details about idents etc, which can be used as a backbone database for years to come.
Of course were not finished yet, Hopeful it will not take 4 years like the Night time pres.
===================================================
Missing press were still looking for:
ITV
* Date, even rough of the 1991 Yorkshire ident being introduced.
* When did Central use From Mid June 1994 - 13 Feb 1995 during the night - Weekday/ Weekend.
* When Did Thames dump the ITV ident 28 Oct? 4 November 1991?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvPNft24XM8&list=UUjFXpf1WBRt4uldsZd2hbJw&index=2
* Cake was dropped: Last Central idents started on 1st OR 20 April 1998 using the word central instead of the cake.
* which month in 1997 did the orange water ident for HTV appear.
* how many STV idents were there for 1988
SKY:
Can anyone confirm these dates for UK GOLD.
* September 1993 - blue background
* September 1994 - solid gold bar
Is there any other TV channels that may need cleaning up?
