Yes, as I mentioned before. I think the song was called Happy People, though I can't find it on the internet. It was big for a few months but it's never been played much since.
Summer 2001 I distinctly remember a load of idents featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a dance track from the time.

I think the 1995 ident appeared in the February. Don't know the exact date. Prior to that they were using the icy blue logo with a weird music.

Not quite, there's about two and a half years in between Brimful of Asha and Get Down Happy People
Sky One used a few tracks concurrently over the years so it's hard to pin things down exactly, but here's the results of some youtube findings anyway...
Brimful of Asha was 31st May 1998 to around February/March 1999. Here's two programme junctions from what may well be the first day of the new look - listen to the announcer's pun over the Star Trek credits in clip 1! (the track itself appears at the very end of clip 2):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i9hDAqFuFA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfstqhUfUc8
Proof that in Feb 1999 they were still using it, along with the brilliant '10 Years' Ident they used this month:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk2SQ0aJShg
A short section of the track that replaced it can be heard at the very end of this clip from April 1999, anyone know what it could be? Still using an ident from the original 1998 set but with the new music. Not the easiest of things to identify, I know :p :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BLQgT2uqrU
...although I'm not sure it lasted long as by July 1999 they're using something else, and have refreshed their ident package too. This seems to be when they began changing the idents depending on the seasons:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjDQ1MPvuvE
Out of all the tunes used by Sky One, I probably remember this one the most, which definitely lasted well into 2000. Again, anyone know what it is? Very of-its-time trancey:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM5W95mP6Ms
Here it is still being used by October 2000 over an autumnal themed set (already posted by Mr Kite but here it is again anyway in context):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgMl12cP-e8
This package would have been replaced by the 'Jack Frost' Christmas theme at the end of 2000, and then after that, TV Archive is your friend (scroll down to 106):
http://www.tvarchive.org.uk/TVA/?p=TVA%20Digital/channels/index.php&pageno=1
So we've got a literal box theme for Spring '01, the 'Get Down Happy People' set for Summer '01, and a subtle hint of the forthcoming red look for Autumn '01.
Phew!!

That's it! Not knowing the artist, I just couldn't find it. All I was getting was Shiny Happy People by REM. Basically, if you start 16 seconds in, the idents used those few bars over again (before the vocals come in). There were a few variations but the only one I really remember, as I think it was most used, involved a guy and girl, both in swimsuits. The girl was standing on the guys shoulders and doing flips whilst managing to land back where she started on the guys shoulders (which I found impressive at the time).
This is what Mr Kite is referring to - "Happy People" by Static Revenger.

Billy H's post is exceptional and that TV Archive link is great. Unfortunately, I don't have the plugin to play the files but visually, they take me back. I must point out that Jack Frost wasn't a Christmas ident but a Winter one. He appeared in January, replacing the Christmas 2000 idents.
The jack in the box/toys ident appeared on 27/02/01, if that Digital Spy thead is anything to go by. Not sure when the beach "Get Down Happy People!" idents came in but it was for the summer months. I recall that the Autumn ones came in bang on the beginning of the Autumn season of that year. Then there were the Christmas idents. I don't know what day they began, but their last day was 06/01/02. The orange rebrand took place the next day - 07/01/02.
