Identify the correct year for the Pres.

I don't remember this 'revolving chevron' on YTV in 1984. They introduced one in 1987 along with the 'Liquid Gold' rebrand. Prior to this they rarely used an ident into programmes apart from the 'Serving Six Million Viewers' ones and the still fanfare into imports. Though I vaguely remember a revolving Christmas one.

I was taking a guess with the revolving chevron since it had been Christmas 84 - 88. A normal version used in the late 80s as shown on TV ark. There used alot of Programme slide into show did there not for most of the 80s? when did that get dropped?

Programme slides were used into programmes up until the 1987 rebrand, when the revolving chevron took over (except before programmes produced by YTV - they were still introduced over a slide until the generic look in 1989 - probably because they didn't want to crash two chevron logos - YTV still showed the frontcaps if present on the tapes).

We still need to acertain the use of the ITV logo on the Meridian and Anglia idents in 1999. Youtube confrims that it was in use on Meridian by July 16th 1999. I'm assuming Anglia would've been the same. I saw Anglia in June 1999 and didn't see any ITV logos so that may be one of the earliest uses of it. Also, we only have TV Ark as a source that the regional idents were still used for regional programming in the early hearts era and have no idea when this practice stopped. Also, I would assume Anglia would've been the same if this was the case and possibly HTV West.

Remember granada never brought the stations until 2000. So UMM had reason to use the hearts. Since we also confirm sighting from people on here. Best guess would be, local ident went once unm was sold 8months later.

Further to this: remember there used these nice Idents, for nighttime 1998 - 1999: so End of June /start of July could be a good guess?

So the 1989 Logo was still in use a year or so after the 1998 logo came in?

From what I can tell, That logo/ident only come to use in 1998, So why waste money on a new ident, The newer version never come into being until 1999.

Unless someone can disprove this?
