Well, Dan didn't appear at all last night, it was John Hammond instead. Dan was on the late Radio 4 forecast though, so they'd obviously done a late shift change.
Tonight, poor Darren Bett seems to be doing something of a mega-shift. He was on the BBC1 forecasts during the evening (which I assume means he's been doing News 24 since about 3:00), and he's still going on News 24 now, which I assume means he's doing the overnight shift as well. The website says that Isobel Lang should be doing the overnight forecasts, so perhaps she wasn't able to and they couldn't get anyone else to cover.
Perhaps Isobel is ill as she was meant to be doing the website video forcast the other day but didn't. I still haven't seen her since she came back from maternity leave, although I notice she's been back on BBC1.
Good to see Daniel Corbett doing the morning weather this morning on N24! Top notch as usual! Lets hope he does the 1 weather later!

And he did! YAYAY! What a stellar performance! Though an open-handed "that's the weather for now" is never so good as a point!
For those who didn't see it I'm sure it'll be available online soon - and if you can't see that, the message today was that we'll be needing those extra blankets tonight.

They are quite funny at times especially on News 24 when his prerecorded reports hang on his facial expression for a few seconds when the trailer is about to kick in.

The other thing I noticed today is that when he's about to do a live forecast on News 24 and they do a shot with the presenters in view and him on the plasma, he stands there with an outrageously broad grin on his face until they throw to him. His facial expressions, along with his gesticulations and mannerisms are hilarious.
Shame that photo's already out of date what with Michael Fish in and no Isobel Lang. Has she returned from maternity leave or has she simply been demoted because she used to be a regular on BBC1??

I'm not talking about a team photo. They've all had new individual ones done.
