strange Thames ( FremantleMedia) still control the Back cataloge! you would think it would move on to the new owners!
some others that should be added to the list
Willy Fogg - around the world
Thames hold the copyrights/back catalogue to all programmes made by Cosgrove Hall.
The Cosgrove hall that is now onwed by ITV plc (through many mergers) is actually Cosgrove Hall (Films) - same people, new company!
The most interesting fact about this is that Avenger Penguins was Cosgrove Hall/Thames, whilst the second series is Cosgrove Hall (Films)/Anglia. Thames actually sold the rights to series 1 to Anglia so that one company held the rights to the whole complete show.
why don't ITV, and to a large extent the BBC as well, invest in the 22 minute long cartoon anymore - sure enough they are costly but the returns are huge - advertising, marketing, DVD's and overseas sales!
I'm surprised that no-one's mentioned this yet ... but with the BBC's "policy" of almost everything having to be shown
in widescreen format, there's the likelyhood that they might crop episodes of Dangermouse to 14:9, or worse, 16:9.

Also if were lucky and the danger mouse get viewers the BBC might commission a New episode of danger mouse

Depends what they mean by "daytime". If they do the same as they are with Top Cat, then it won't be cropped.

only problem I see is whether David Jason would be prepared to voice new episodes!!! Would Penfold be replaced or would they get a replacement for the late Terry Scott as the voice??????
