Typical isn't it - an old ITV programme (I know it was made by Thames) but ITV lose out to the BBC to show the repeats!!!!!!! I presume another ratings winner for BBC and ITV's slow death continues!

EH?

ITV HIT? BBC3?

I never really got into Dangermouse...I think because I never really grew up with it. Unlike Count Duckula, where I remember renting videos of from the video shop all the time. The ending of 'The Lost Valley' is one of the greatest endings to a cartoon episode ever.

Right, we've got Dangermouse back, now we need Victor and Hugo

Here, here - shame only 2 series were made - about 22 episodes.

Completely forgot about another Cosgrove Hall animation...
Avenger Penguins - 1st series Thames, 2nd series Anglia (after Anglia bought Cosgrove Hall from Thames when they lost their franchise)

Thames hold the copyrights/back catalogue to all programmes made by Cosgrove Hall.

The Cosgrove hall that is now onwed by ITV plc (through many mergers) is actually Cosgrove Hall (Films) - same people, new company!

The most interesting fact about this is that Avenger Penguins was Cosgrove Hall/Thames, whilst the second series is Cosgrove Hall (Films)/Anglia. Thames actually sold the rights to series 1 to Anglia so that one company held the rights to the whole complete show.

all new Phil
I just bought the complete first series of Count Duckula on DVD - over 11 hours of it! Amazing stuff, I'm proper reminiscing about my childhood!

Or Jamie and the Magic Torch even...

I read earlier today about a Jamie & The Magic Torch film, but I haven't heard anything about it other than that article that dates from 2002. Maybe it never got off the ground... or got stuck at the top of the helter skelter? Laughing

Basically correct,
don't forget that old Cosgrove Hall also did the animation bits to the original Thames Rainbow series and not the awful HTV attempts at Rainbow Days (after Thames lost the Franchsie)!
