Just feels like it's coming together now - Jayne and Chris more confident in their roles too, whilst Holly is showing herself to be one of the best female presenters around - she is leagues ahead of Tess Daly.
Swear Brooke has been one of the last to perform every week though - coincidence I-m sure as can't see why they'd be deliberately giving her a favourable slot.
Phillip and Holly using stick mics doesn't really suit the show and they look quite visibly awkward with them. The audio is better but I feel they should be hosting The Voice or Top of the Pops, not Dancing on Ice.
I can't quite put my finger on it but this new series just doesn't feel right one bit. I feel very uncomfortable watching it. There's no atmosphere. I feel like everyone in the studio hates each other and nobody wants to be there
There has been a definite improvement so far with tonight's programme.
The audio is a lot better and seems to have flowed a lot more between commentator Sam and the judges scores. Phil & Holly seem to be enjoying it a lot more this week too.
The introduction to the ice is a welcomed one IMO, though I still feel as though it should be somebody else than Phil & Holly.
The camera angles are much improved, especially the use of what appears to be a new fixed camera in the rig looking over the rink as the contestants skate on, it shows a lot of the audience and the full scale of the rink, something that has been missing up to now.
I agree, I feel like its coming together as the weeks go on. For next series I'd say, have some audience seating behind the skaters, get rid of Jordan, return to the original style of title sequence and add a voiceover. Those things could be easily sorted when they rebuild the studio next year and that list is much smaller than week 1. The show is much more enjoyable than the first week.
I do think Jordan has done a decent job with his role to be honest, though whether the role is necessary is debatable. However it has generally been limited to the final minute of voting so I think it's fine.
One other notable change this week is having Phil and Holly in the audience much more plus a new raised position to introduce the pro skate (possibly the commentary position). Small changes but felt all the better for it.
Jordan's been average - I wouldn't rave about him. I don't think the role is necessary and he doesn't understand the difference between "was" and "were" which is unforgivable for a TV presenter in my opinion.
