It overall appeared a more polished show. A few improvements have been made:-
- Matt Chapman had left
- Sam Materface has joined
- Sam Materface wasn't shown in vision
- Jayne Torvill seemed comfortable in her role
- Christopher Dean didn't keep looking towards Jason after giving his score
- There were more audience shots as far as I could tell
- The skaters were more accomplished
So, all they have to do for next week is:-
- Show all 11 skaters
- Make the rink bigger
- Get rid of the training rink
- Make the rink rectangular
- No need for Jordan Banjo
- Separate Phillip and Holly some of the time
- Put the audience in full view of the camera like it used to be
- More elaborate costumes
- Bring back John Sachs
- Bring back the full opening theme tune and titles
- "It's Sunday night, we're live, and it's Dancing on Ice" announcement needs to return
and then the show will be spectacular again!! To be fair, it wasn't too bad tonight.
If they are the official titles then they're much better than the weird concoction they aired this evening. I still think they're a bit long though and had more impact with the crowd clapping along.
