The rink appears smaller because it's a oval shape - rather than the rectangular one in the previous series. And that was done on a handheld PSC camera with a shallow depth of field.

With the wide angle lens of the ob cameras, railcams and technocranes, and the "two hundred lights" blazing away, it'll look a lot bigger and wider.

Just because Bake Off works in a tent...

To me, it looks a LOT smaller than the old studios. Certainly not like an full-sized ice rink - more like a come and a go if you think you can skate rink, that they erect in towns during the Christmas holidays. I wonder why they didn't erect a bigger building - cos as you can see from the above video, there is plenty of unused space on that piece of concrete. And they should have built the studio along the length of the concrete - rather than side to side. It seems very strange what they have done.

If that’s what the new music sounds like for the titles, then I’m liking it!

They’re not exactly housing crisis homes though are they? TVC and what is planned for Fountain and ITV are all luxury developments that like the rest of London’s luxury market will largely be bought up by the ultra rich in the Middle East as an investment and left empty for yonks.

Except for one series where they moved out to Shepperton Studios I think (either there or Pinewood).

If they don't have polar bears competing and squirrels judging, like in the trailer, I'll be very annoyed.
