They all end up as bad as each other.

With the reality/dance/popstar garbage, coupled with the soaps, I find that the only mainstream station worth watching these days for most of the time is BBC2.

The first edition of Dancing on Ice is on 11th January 2008. Yes, that's a Friday.

At least it says so at the ticket booking website : http://www.applausestore.com

Probably a mistake. Applause Store said it was starting on a Thursday last year. Rolling Eyes

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV1 on Saturday the 12th January 2008 at 7.10pm with the 'Extra' show on ITV2 at 8:40pm. The results are to be screened around 9:20pm on ITV1.

The sponsor of the show will be the revamped MFI apparently.

At least they haven't gone for the Sunday results that Strictly have done this year and that ITV were rumoured to be considering.

Also it looks like the ITV Saturday night line up will be fantastic from the off with TV Burp, Dancing on Ice, Primeval and Thank God You're Here all starting on January 12th. The only shows that are missing are Takeaway and Al Murray.

The only problem with everything starting the same week is that not everything is commissioned for 13 weeks and everything ends at different times.

Like Thursday last year, the Friday show is a non broadcast pilot with an audience to make sure everything is running fine technically. Not a cock up by Applause Store.

Don't forget new quiz show Duel is also to start sometime in January. That show is on Saturday nights too, not weekdays.
