I'd like to think they wouldn't leave it all down to the judges. At least we have some control at who gets in the bottom two. They shouldn't get to decide who goes out of all the contestants.

Well, in the final (well, last year anyhow) the judges get no say so why not in the semi-final the viewers get no say.
Obviously though it be presented as a surprise "twist" to the format - nothing at all to do with ITV closing the phone lines.
