Yes, that's it, it's all a conspiracy.
Maybe, they were copying the X-Factor they had Take That on or maybe, just maybe they had them on because a) they were available, b) they appear to be universally popular (particularly with the kind of demographic DOI appeals to) and c) they had a single to plug, out on Monday.
Since when has there been a monopoly on having musical guests on a TV show ? And it provided something different anyway T&D performing with TT.
