Dancing On Ice

Kind of strange seeing Take That perform their single on Dancing on Ice.

Although it sounded (and looked) like they weren't signing live.

Good song though.

I don't normally watch Dancing on Ice, but I managed to catch a bit and Take That were on, how awful! Why o' why were they on?

You predicted right Brekkie. It was Duncan and Lisa in the bottom 2 with Lisa voted out. Im quite surprised by that.

I dont think they were awful. I love the song. However its a bit odd they were guests on Dancing On Ice - usually it is a singing contest like the X Factor they would guest on.

The thing is Jez, I just don't think it was right that they were on a Dancing show. Okay for X Factor, singing.

You dance to music don't ya and Take that can dance so there is a link. Tsch! Will you people please stop trying to shatter my illusions. First Mr. Nick about the journo business now you lot telling me they could posibly be miming.

I assumed as they were having Take That on they'd use them as the theme for the show.

They'd have got away with it that way - but otherwise it just comes across as an unrelated show being used to plug a single.

(Not that there is anywhere else on TV bands can plug their singles nowadays!)


Just caught the judges comments on the ITV2 show and they're all basically saying that it comes down to how well the celeb can perform without the assistance of their partner.

I hope then if that's how they feel that at some point towards the end of the series - perhaps as the twist for the final - they make the celebs do a solo performance.

I didn't mind take that being on the show and really liked it, but the miming was absolutley awful

Possibly the reason why Take That were on 'Dancing On Ice' was because the BBC always have a musical act on the results programme of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

So basically they were copying the BBC!
