I've have only ever watched Dancing On Ice and have never ventured to Strictly Come Dancing but did manage to catch the live final just before Christmas.
After only ever watching Dancing on Ice I found the SCD final to be quite dull in comparison. The actual skill of the dancing vs skating was miles apart and ok, it was quite fun to watch, but from a skill and amount of effort that went into the dancing performances vs the skating performance the difference was huge.
I really can't wait for Dancing on Ice it really took the SCD genre to another level and blew it out of the water!
I've heard that the Emmerdale actor may not be appearing in the series and might get replaced by someone else.
Which one is the Emmerdale actor? Are you getting confused with Soapstar Superstar, which originally had Ben Freeman in the line-up, but was replaced by Leon Lopez?
Radio times says its Harry Potter followed by Soapstar Superstar in primetime. Maybe its because of the person that dropped out and won't be replaced, so they're starting a week later than planned?
BBC News said January 13th but the official site gives no date at all. I was looking on the RT website last night and was surprised to see the third Harry Potter film there instead of DOI. I would have thought they would save that for later in the year, maybe before Christmas to cash in on the advertisers.
Anyway, looks like it's not starting on the 13th, it will probably be the week after now.
