At 9.40pm, the Dancing on Ice Results show didn't manage to build on the success of the earlier opening show - it managed 6.4 million (26.9%) over 30 minutes.

Does that mean that much of the audience tuned in to see what it was like, didn't like it and so didn't go back for the results?

I must admit I enjoyed the programme, though something about the set kept screaming out Ice Warriors!

I must admit the thought of Ice Warriors crossed my mind watching this - and as bad as that was, personal preferrence means I'd still prefer it to this!

And what you may ask is the BBC's big hopes for Saturday nights? This piece of crap here hosted by Vernon Kay and Tess Daly!! God help us!! Crying or Very sad

Cue all those people who slagged off ITV, saying DoI was a copy of SCD, who will now slag off the BBC for a making a blatant copy in "Celebrity X factor duets". Oh no, they're strangely silent!

To be fair, it is a more original format than Dancing On Ice. It's based on the format of Strictly Come Dancing, with some Comic Relief does Fame Academy mixed in. That show was the first of the "Celebrity" singing shows (bar Stars In Their Eyes, I suppose), so one could equally argue in the opposite direction.

how did Phillip have the card with the results in his hand 10 seconds before the phonelines closed?

Well he's just said on This Morning that the card in question was just a prop and was blank. He actually got the results in his ear.

So either somebody's got in touch about this or somebody at ITV has seen the forum...

Someone emailed This Morning with the question, and they have now set the record straight. Makes alot of sense, and alot of TV Programmes actually do the same thing.

Philip did say that from now on they have scrapped the card and he'll just say he's about to receive the results through his earpiece.
