I fell asleep halfway through it. Dull. Boring. The people on it deserved better than to be entered into that competition.

I love the way that Bruno and Arlene believe that "my reputation is on the line if I mess up" Rolling Eyes

Yeah, of course it is, when's Strictly Come Dancing back again?

They've literally drammed up any excuse to get the viewers watching and its abysmal.

This is arguably the worst programe ever made, I watched it last night (agaist my wishes) and it was completely dfferent to how it looked in the trailer. It is incredibly boring. This is something that ITV would come up with not the BBC. I cannot believe I pay a licence fee for this ****!

It certainly is. Not helped by the fact that Arlene Phillips looks anything but the OAP she is - show some dignity woman and look more like 63, not another Anne Robinson freakshow.

It was a heinous, hideous, excreable show - and I haven't even watched it! Laughing

I understand what you mean about Arlene Phillips - she looked pretty old on the 1st series of Strictly Come Dancing and since then, she has started to look younger! Ugh! Shocked

Almost 5m people tuned in which is good

How do BBC1 manage it. If any other channel had shown such an obvious 'summer filler using a format we've seen millions of times before' they would have got 'the lowest ratings ever'

Always used to be the way with ITV...they could show any old rubbish and people would still tune in. Now the tables appear to have turned!

So they've auditioned for a dancing competition then turned it into a singing competition then?

Which basically means it's a singing competition with people who can't sing!

and people who can't dance Xceptionally well. Seen better dancers at our local amateur dramatics association.

I switched from the crud that is sing it back to this. I suppose the Beeb and ITV have got the balance right this time. Putting 2 crap programmes head to head.

And to add to the irony of it all, they brand the bloke who clearly couldn't sing the best singer of the night! Rolling Eyes

I think "Nice studio, shame about the show" is the best way to sum it up!

Are we really in need of a new dance troup?
Where are they gonna perform? Top of the pops is no more. R.I.P.

I just don't see the point of this programme. Except for perhaps they thought that Summer attracts minimum audiences due to the fact we're normally sat in our gardens firing up a barbie at this time. So they'll broadcast any old poop.
So not only is summer a wash out, summer weekend TV is a washout too. Unless my lotto numbers come up.
The carp is spewing from the sewers as it is from the TV tonight.

To be honest rather than these endless Strictly Dance Rip-offs I think they'd be better off bringing back Fame Academy.

They'd do better bringing back repeats of Dad's Army like they used to show in the 1990s

I've looked through the schedules from summer Saturdays in 2005 and 2006 and the only programme that made any impact was How do you solve a problem like Maria

In 2005 the programmes aired in the pre-Casualty slots were repeats of Weakest Link and Only Fools, Strictly African Dancing and He's Having a Baby

In 2006 there were Green Green Grass repeats, Weakest Link, Dancing in the Street and Maria
