It's out dated why ITV think Dame Edna is worth bothering now I can't imagine. It's hidious and vile IMO just not funny. Times have moved on greatly in this connected multi everything age. Al Murrey was something totally different I hope he get's a longer second series
Excellent programme. This is Saturday night television - entertainment. Hopefully, a second series will be commissioned.
In other 'news'. how about Dame Edna's daughter? How gorgeous is she. Almost as sexy as Madge.
Alternatively, anyone know what happened to "cheery" Madge - is she still alive?

Madge is still alive but she's 100 years old in June. Valmai had the hangdog expression down to a tee though. I liked the way she just slapped the name tag on the guests.
For current ITV I was quite surprised at how good it was. Looks like the old CH4 Graham Norton set that was at LWT had just been slightly tarted up with some bits from her Neighbourhood Watch series though.

Madge of course, a character played by 99 year old Emily Perry. It would be funny if they brought her back but insurance for her would be sky high!
I didn't watch the show, but I noticed in the TV Guides it is called 'The Dame Edna Treatment' why can't it just be called 'Dame Edna Treatment' why do ITV / TV Guides, need to plonk 'The' in front of most show names!
Last night's show was simply fantastic. They ironed out a few problems that the first show had and it really was a great hour - I couldn't stop laughing. Roll on next week.
