I actually enjoyed this programme to start with. I lost interest when they had a musical guest on and shoehorned in a singing contest. It was not needed.
Dale Winton's cruel and belittling humour is also not required in a programme like like.
I'm pretty sure it was Judith Chalmers (better known as Mark Durden Smith's mother) doing the voice over, but she was not credited.
It was actually pretty good. Liked the Generation Game elements with the contestants trying things out. Although the singing round took itself far too seriously.
I liked the fact it looked as if it was shot live so even dodgy camera zooms and angles were left in but that gave it the feel of a live programme. Quite liked the set as well.
And I really liked the use of Judith Chalmers doing the voice overs. Nice touch.
Now for the bad points. I did not like Dale as host for this. He can do cutesy gameshows quite well but he seemed too patronising towards the contestants on this. I also hated the music with the same cue used over and over and over again. Very annoying.
All in all not bad for a first go, a few tweaks and this could turn into quite an enjoyable full series.
thought that this was actually a good attempt at a pilot and with a few tweaks could become quite a good long running saturday night series with a large number of viewers the figures tell us that not many people were watching any programme last night so that rating is very good actually
