I never did understand the rules of In It To Win It and I guess now I never will.
Sad news of the death of Dale Winton. Here he is on Beacon Radio in 1990. https://t.co/fhkBg32HK1 pic.twitter.com/k7g5C8sJDW

He told ITV's Loose Women show in 2006 about his struggle with depression and said: "I always thought, 'get over yourself'. But my mum died of it. It exists and anybody out there who has had it knows it exists. I didn't want to put one foot in front of the other but for a couple of really good friends."
I think you'll find that was in 2016 BBC!
BBC article finally updated to remove reference to Family Fortunes.

He's not looked well for years, so I wonder if he's had some kind of long term health issues.

He addressed this on Loose Women too.

The news bulletin on the local radio station tonight (possibly from Sky News) also repeated the Family Fortunes thing.

How Stupied or incompetent are these reporters....

Probably a Press Association blunder if they're running it as well.
But as has already been said further up the thread, he would have made a damn good Family Fortunes presenter.

It reminds me of when Ronnie Hazlehurst died and everywhere reported he'd written Reach by S Club 7... because of a rogue edit in his wikipedia article. That even made it into the BBC's report on his death where they showed a clip from the video.

Not sure if they finished airing that - think it got pulled due to the Florida shootings.
Only episode 1 of 3 was broadcast of 'Dales Florida Fly drive' before being pulled. Even though it was a ratings flop, I was looking forward to Ch5 showing the rest of it.....at some point.
Maybe now is the perfect time to re-schedule? Due to the poor ratings in primetime, all 3 eps back to back on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon/early evening might be a good slot and tribute to Dale.
Very unexpected - he'd just done a travel series for Channel 5 hadn't he?

Ratings were an issue though...if I recall it was due to be shunted to the 7pm slot on Thursdays but alas was pulled altogether after the news of the Florida incident.
Wasn’t pulled due to ratings, was postponed due to the school shooting in Florida last month.
