Dale Winton dies aged 62

Awfully sad news I don't think anyone was expecting, and 62 is definitely too young to go. Although I'm not sure about this line from the current version of the BBC News report . . .
He presented a wide range of shows, including Family Fortunes and In It To Win It.

I don't seem to recall Dale ever hosting Family Fortunes.

He was very breathless at times in that Florida fly drive doc on Channel 5. You could physically see him struggling to breathe.

Not saying that was linked to his death though.

This is probably my favourite Dale moment, when he is so happy chatting to Barbara Windsor he is totally oblivious to the instructions that Alan Dedicoat is trying to provide!

Challenge won’t air that. But they might show loads of the Sweep.

I can imagine Dale would have been a really good call for Family Fortunes actually.

He always seemed to have really good rapport with the contestants on his shows. Very sad news.
