I'm forever telling the kids off in my village. They were throwing stones at a young lad the other day and one of the stones made its way into my salon only just missing my clients 2year old daughter. I downed tools and gobbed off to them and told ring leader if they do it again i'll get a brick and launch at his parents window. They then sheepishly disappeared off to the park. Fortunately my gob is enough to scare them without getting physical. I know they call me all the names under the sun behind my back. I don't care though. If it means they stop throwing things at kids and old ladies waiting for a bus they can call me what the hell they want.
While on the subjects of bus stops. What is the fascination of kids and bus stops? They never get on a damned bus when it turns up.
Something for the daily mail to do an investigative report on.
Should i take this over to metropol?
I'll be honest I can't believe the attitude of the "yoot of today", as one of my work colleagues would say.
Classic example & constant problems is with London Buses, the Oyster Card & and the free travel for Under 18's (yes, young chavs ride for free on London Buses, I have to pay
). Most drivers be it East London Buses, First Capital, Arriva London, etc. will allow kids to walk on without showing their Oyster card (kids/student ones have pictures on them, grown ups don't need to) however some insist on seeing a ticket, this one particular morning this happened:
Two 13-15 year olds got on a 123 to Wood Green, the first kid touches his Oyster card on the reader, second one walks past.
Driver: "Excuse me, where's your Oyster card?"
Youth #2: "Yeah, yeah I ain't got on it me, it don't matter I'm under 16"
Driver: "Oih, get back here you need to pay the fare" (£2 for each journey in London)
Youth 1&2 Ignore him & go upstairs. Driver, looking angry turns off engine & turns on tannoy "Ladies & Gents, someone has got on here without paying the fare, we won't be going anywhere until the passenger leaves"
Whilst he's saying this Youth #2 pipes up, in what was the most over the top use of swearing since I saw 5 minuets of Roy Chubby Brown: "You f***ing c***, I don't need to f***ing pay, you f***ing arsehole, you f***ing pr**k..."
Driver: "If you don't get off I'm calling the Police!"
Youth#2: "F***ing call the f***ing police, here I'll call the f***ing Police myself."
He actually calls 999 and demands the Police at the same time as the Bus Driver does. Youth#1 in the mean time just tells his mate to leave it & that they should get off, to be fair the first kid was alright, hence why he had a ticket.
Whilst all this has gone on a 150 has pulled up so most of us get off, however the two kids won't. The Bus Driver informs him the police are on their way & the kid shouts "Good let them f***ing come then they'll...."
At this point I'm off the bus, I have to get to work & get I am getting bored by this point. Thing is with his language & attitude & strutting up and down the bus, he really wound me up & I really wanted to punch him, which is not like me. I suppose unless you witness it you probably won't understand why I would want to punch a 13-16 year old.

Hear hear. I would particularly welcome a change in the law allowing citizens to physically restrain yobs (using reasonable force) and allow the use of minor physical chastisement - without fear of assault charges - where one's personal safety could otherwise be compromised.
Take away the yob's "rights" and when they realise they don't have any, that will make them change their ways...
