Hear hear. I would particularly welcome a change in the law allowing citizens to physically restrain yobs (using reasonable force) and allow the use of minor physical chastisement - without fear of assault charges - where one's personal safety could otherwise be compromised.

Take away the yob's "rights" and when they realise they don't have any, that will make them change their ways...

I'm forever telling the kids off in my village. They were throwing stones at a young lad the other day and one of the stones made its way into my salon only just missing my clients 2year old daughter. I downed tools and gobbed off to them and told ring leader if they do it again i'll get a brick and launch at his parents window. They then sheepishly disappeared off to the park. Fortunately my gob is enough to scare them without getting physical. I know they call me all the names under the sun behind my back. I don't care though. If it means they stop throwing things at kids and old ladies waiting for a bus they can call me what the hell they want.
While on the subjects of bus stops. What is the fascination of kids and bus stops? They never get on a damned bus when it turns up.
Something for the daily mail to do an investigative report on.
Should i take this over to metropol?

I'll be honest I can't believe the attitude of the "yoot of today", as one of my work colleagues would say.

Classic example & constant problems is with London Buses, the Oyster Card & and the free travel for Under 18's (yes, young chavs ride for free on London Buses, I have to pay Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad ). Most drivers be it East London Buses, First Capital, Arriva London, etc. will allow kids to walk on without showing their Oyster card (kids/student ones have pictures on them, grown ups don't need to) however some insist on seeing a ticket, this one particular morning this happened:

Two 13-15 year olds got on a 123 to Wood Green, the first kid touches his Oyster card on the reader, second one walks past.

Driver: "Excuse me, where's your Oyster card?"
Youth #2: "Yeah, yeah I ain't got on it me, it don't matter I'm under 16"
Driver: "Oih, get back here you need to pay the fare" (£2 for each journey in London)

Youth 1&2 Ignore him & go upstairs. Driver, looking angry turns off engine & turns on tannoy "Ladies & Gents, someone has got on here without paying the fare, we won't be going anywhere until the passenger leaves"

Whilst he's saying this Youth #2 pipes up, in what was the most over the top use of swearing since I saw 5 minuets of Roy Chubby Brown: "You f***ing c***, I don't need to f***ing pay, you f***ing arsehole, you f***ing pr**k..."
Driver: "If you don't get off I'm calling the Police!"
Youth#2: "F***ing call the f***ing police, here I'll call the f***ing Police myself."

He actually calls 999 and demands the Police at the same time as the Bus Driver does. Youth#1 in the mean time just tells his mate to leave it & that they should get off, to be fair the first kid was alright, hence why he had a ticket.

Whilst all this has gone on a 150 has pulled up so most of us get off, however the two kids won't. The Bus Driver informs him the police are on their way & the kid shouts "Good let them f***ing come then they'll...."

At this point I'm off the bus, I have to get to work & get I am getting bored by this point. Thing is with his language & attitude & strutting up and down the bus, he really wound me up & I really wanted to punch him, which is not like me. I suppose unless you witness it you probably won't understand why I would want to punch a 13-16 year old.

I see Carol Thatcher has now joined the Daily Mail BBC bashing campaign... Interesting to note, she ties it in with the Queengate bad editing saga.

She has conveniently omitted the fact that the bad editing was done by RDF.

Indeed. Carol has just jumped on the bandwagon because Mummy never succeeded in damaging the BBC Hutton-style.

*bing*

Newspaper-published attacks on BBC : 1
Anti-license fee comments : 1
Racist comments : 4

because it changed a Casualty storyline so that Muslim terrorists were replaced by animal rights extremists. Both storylines are perfectly plausible and interchangeable - but the DM is again complaining about the 'politically correct' BBC and all the usual 'scrap the license fee' comments, etc.

In this instance the Mail is right about possible PC motivations for the change. Not that animal rights nutters are any less fanatical, as the Staffordshire guinea pig farm saga proved.

FFS! Mad I don't care if she reads the news in her dressing gown, I just want the news !

edit it turns out the Daily Hate Mail 's own readers are turning against it now:

Oh for god's sake - you can barely even see her knees!

More than 30 complaints! Who are these thirty misogynists who dare to criticise the gorgeous Emily who has lightened our lives with her impeccable turn-out, beautiful hair and big brown eyes ever since she wowed us on her first appearance on TV? Probably envious, jealous women who want to knock her off the pedestal where men have placed her.
Think about it - a Cambridge graduate who speaks five languages including Mandarin Chinese, happily married with two children. A working wife, whose husband must be proud of her. If girls want a role model, look no further than the talented and beautiful Emily Maitliss.

Posture? check! Legs crossed? check! perfect no one will ever guess that under that knee length skirt she's really going commando.

That is so shocking. Lock your sons in their rooms and takeaway their TVS.

What gets me is there's a pic saying she was "exposed" and experienced a "wardrobe malfunction" at an award ceremony. Rubbish! Thats just the style of her dress! Yes a bit low cut but hardly exposing.
