Cyw - S4C's new children's service

S4C will be launching it's new extended children's service, Cyw (chick), on the 23rd June, airing from 7am-1.30pm on S4C Digidol.

It's basically the Welsh version of CBeebies, aimed at the younger end of the childrens market, so whether this means it will include or replace schools programming shown in the morning (for older viewers) I don't know.

Schools does not air on S4C Digidol.

Wow, listen to the theme song on their website, it's immense. Sounds like Sweet Caroline. Can see that getting on the Radio 1 playlist.

Indeed. It effectively replaces nothing. S4C Analogue will continue to almost mirror the Channel 4 schedule (not even they have schools in daytime now).

They did until last week, okay not quite the old style programmes, but those that are mainly for teenagers that are about drugs, sex or the media.

They've gone back to showing Imports, so I think we've seen the last C4 Schools broadcast ever.
