All those soaps aren't down to ITV1 though, are they?

If Buckingham Palace was being bombed, that's an excuse to not show Mr. bean, but they could just pop up a message saying "Turn to ITV News" or whatever. They did that on Sky One during Queen Mother's Death.

Ahh, The Curse Of Mr Bean at 13 years old, like I will be tomorrow, (wink wink)

I'd completely agree with exception of the clever "****" comment. It makes me laugh when people say things like that - you really don't HAVE to be here.

Sky One viewers will have Sky News, but a lot of ITV1 viewers will not have the ITV news channel. Indeed some Freeview viewers do not currently have it.

Back on the topic of the show. A brilliant episode this one.

The filming of the car scene was fantastic. It looks as though Rowan actually did film this whilst driving the car, fantastic it was!

Did anyone also notice Caroline Quentin, who has just won a British Television Award as an extra just before Mr Bean goes into the dentist?

Another question, Mr Bean is famous for having a yellow mini with black bonnet, however I'm almost sure I remember Mr Bean having a red mini at one point, is this true?

They haven't always used the same car, the Pilot episode had an Orange/red Mini, then they switched to the more famous R regristrated plate (i.e Late 1970's), then in 'Back to School, Mr Bean' his Mini is completly destroyed by the Tank instead of the other Mini and then in the episodes made afterwards he still has a green mini, which also appears in the deleted scenes of the movie, also in the Video only release 'The Best of Mr Bean', parts of the mini are in the attic, probably assuming that he doesn't have a car. I still have a best of This Morning on video somewhere that has the Mr Bean interview and him driving around the Albert Dock looking for a space, but interestingly on the back of the Mini it says 'Thames Television' on it, even though the interview was in 1995 or so.

But anyway, brilliant episode tonight, the getting ready in the car sequence has to be the best bit of the episode, also notice how much older Teddy looks! I hope ITV will be repeating all of them.

Anyone know how they managed to pull off the paint job explosion in Do It Yourself Mr Bean?

I found it clever how the room was completely white but then had the silhouette of the other bloke getting his hat on the wall Laughing
