Current TV launched today on Sky and Virgin, anyone else watched it yet?

Quite impressed so far, it's a selection of short (3-5 minute) items, mostly user generated. Every hour there's a news bulletin type thing called 'Google Current' which takes its stories from what people are searching on Google.

Interesting stuff so far, but then even if something comes up that's not your thing there's always something else along in a few minutes. Also impressed at the amount of UK based material I've seen so far.

I hadn't even noticed, to be honest.

Think it launched today, the only reason i noticed it was because Al Gore plugged it on Richard & Judy earlier - channel 229 on Sky and 155 on cable

Well, it was just Richard. Rather amusing actually. Not only was he big-headed as per usual but he had no one to interrupt... apart from his guests.

Apparently good ol' Jude had a 24-hour bug of sorts.

I think it is a good little channel. Some interesting reports. Let's hope it doesn't become too repetative.

I don't seem to be able to get this channel. I have the Variety & Knowledge mixes on Sky, and this channel is in the "Entertainment Section" but when I try it I get a message saying I need to upgrade my subscription! Shocked

I'm finding it surprisingly addictive. There's such an eclectic mix of 'pods' that you can happily sit for an hour or so without getting bored.

My favourite so far is the animated comedy series set in the White House. There's a great parody of an episode of the office - the one where David Brent ends up playing his guitar and singing. No prizes for guessing which character George Bush is meant to be...
