The current state of UTV

Series 22, Episode 1 is next week if that's any help. I don't think it is a repeat actually so it probably is the ones that UTV didn't show because of Kelly.

Well Series 22 Ep 1 is one of the ones we missed from last year according to TV.com

I've just seen a self-congratulatory trail on UTV saying that Insight had won the RTS award for "best National and Regional Current Affairs".

I'd say that's a rather misleading way to phrase it.

They won the Nations and Regions Current Affairs category.

Bet it uses the "Christmas ident" font as well...

I did a bit of further checking and as I said above Series 22 Ep 1 of Taggart is one of the ones we missed because of Kelly but that was broadcast on Nov 4th

Unfortunately UTV seemed to have forgotten about the last 3 episodes of Series 21 broadcast on Sep 16 to Sep 30 last year and due to finding some old TV guides I confirmed Kelly was broadcast on those dates

If UTV are going to show them they are showing them out of order

I've just seen a UTV trail chopped off to be replaced by a graphic for "UTV i-channel", whatever that may be.

If you want to see something else for a laugh, look for the "home" trail and see how many incorrect UTV logos you can spot.

i-channel is sorta like big screens in airports and places - like BBCs in Central Station.

UTV as part of a takeover agreed to supply news to the screens that are in Dublin Airport since it bought over the company that originally produced them.

From what I remember their agreement was to do two news programmes a day. Chances are a feed or something slipped out by mistake.
