Those weren't won by First Group were they?

A farce already, better off to cancel it now while it can be done quietly before it gets too far down the line.

I know things have changed since this post was written but just because a license award is withdrawn and given to someone else doesn't automatically make proceedings a 'farce' - exactly that scenario happened to Classic FM. They didn't initially win their license

Do we have any ideas when the two Scottish channels will be awarded?

I'm hoping to start working at the Sheffield licence holder SLTV. It would IMHO be a great boost for local tv.

You have seen the proposed schedule haven't you? I think ITV will loose approximately zero viewers to this venture. It will have probably the same level of impact on the local media scene as their other service, the Sheffield Live radio station.

I think the launch of these local stations would be a great thing to work on, as working on something new always is.

Although like any new venture I'd imagine things could get tough once the honeymoon period is over.

Apparently these are the STV backed stations.

Are there any ideas on the logo's the new channels will use?
This is the Norwich licence holders "mustard" (backed by the local paper)

I'm not sure that is best result, whilst STV can probably show that they support these services better than any of the other applicants. It may just end up becoming an STV repeats channels with local news updates.
