Has anyone else heard this on C4? I first noticed it last week.
Just before a credit squeeze you can hear the director go 'cue' just before the announcer speaks.

I think Channel 4 have moved into Red Bee's centre now, presumably it's on the snag list... or maybe the announcer just likes her headphones up loud

Was just watching Channel 4 News earlier, and judging by the clean transitions into and out of the ads, I'm certain that playout is now with Red Bee. Until recently, when Ch 4 pres crossed to/from a Channel 4 News, the picture would usually break up.

Channel 4 and E4 are still at Horseferry Road - they'll be moving in the next couple of months.

MORE4 and FILM4 are currently at the Broadcast Centre (RedBee) and working well.

As for the talkback problem, it's to do with loud headphones, new Network Directors dipping the sound too much and the great quality of HD (if that's what you were watching on?).

Hope that helps?

Thanks for the info Dan.

I had noticed one or two small and subtle changes to Ch 4's pres, and just assumed (wrongly) that this must've been due to a switchover to Red Bee.

Not 100% well, they managed to play out a CA (at about +8dB) over the top of dialogue during the film 'The Client' on F4 on Saturday night.

Thanks for that, wasn't sure when they were moving over, someone I know who was filling in at HFR finished recently so I assumed that they'd moved

Wasn't watching on HD, on SD on an analogue work ringmain derived from DTT... despite all that it was still clearly audible!
