Former CSC channels rebranded following Trace takeover

Scuzz to return in July???

And it's probably too late to change it to how it used to be. At least the Bunnings/Homebase mistake was reverted quite early on, before most stores had even been converted, it's probably too late to bring back the Chart Show name and channel formats now. Maybe if Trace had just converted one of the channels to test the waters, rather than doing the whole lot in one go.

At the moment there isn't enough of next Monday's schedule to tell, but it does look like Trace Urban could be adding more general chart music slots as well, both Trace Latina and Starz close at 7am, and from that point the Trace Urban listings seem to be named more generally and mention 'chart topping hits' rather than 'hottest urban tunes' in the descriptions after 7am. Though I could be wrong since it's too early to tell.

As more of the schedule becomes available, this does actually appear to be the case (although having said that, some of the listings that are there at the moment have got quite general titles, such as "Please Don't Stop The Music", so we'll have to wait and see).

The following are now in the schedule for next week (which aren't there this week):

Top 20 Sounds of the UK 2019
Chart Topping Fresh Hits
What's Poppin? Fresh New Beats
Top 10: Back In The Days
Blinding Lights Hits

Also, a lot of programme descriptions just say "Trace", where they previously normally said "Trace Urban"

The Trace Urban schedule so far for next week also doesn't seem to include the non-music programming, which makes sense given the addition of Trace Latina programming.

Starz actually appears to be the best performing of all the Trace channels, based on information posted on Digital Spy, which makes its closure a bit of a surprise, although its recent removal from Freesat is likely to be affecting current viewing figures.

Are they stupid? Based on that, they should keep Starz and axe Trace Urban!

Everything they've done so far suggests they're stupid. Or at least ignorant.

Slightly surprised from that of the MTV Channels that around Xmas time it's usually Rocks and Classic that get replaced as they seem to rate much higher than many of the other MTV channels.

Which also makes MTV Rocks being at the bottom of the EPG after all the other MTV channels (including MTV Music+1) a bit of a surprise, following a number of EPG number swaps over recent years. I believe MTV Classic is also lower down the EPG than it used to be.

Yeah, MTV Base seems to be the obvious one that should make way for MTV Xmas.

The EPG now suggests that Trace Latina will be closing a few hours earlier, at midnight instead of 7am on Monday.

The EPG is now showing "Latin Hits Now On Trace Urban" from midnight on Monday, with "no listings available" from 7am on Tuesday.

The listings for Starz haven't changed.

MTV Live HD still gets a fair audience despite only being on cable.

Surprised The Box is doing so poorly compared to others considering its been around for so long and it's been FTA for a few years. Box Hits has surpassed it.

There's probably very little distinction between The Box and Box Hits these days.

Interesting that on those audience figures that relatively new stations Now 70s and 80s are doing so well. I know they are/have been on Freeview but goes to show what an established brand can do. Everyone knows MTV, but it's not got the nostalgic affection that Now has.

Same with Chart Show to a much lesser extent.

Who owns the Now channels, it's a brand that's expanded and exploited a lot recently
