The Crystal Maze returns to C4

I'm intrigued by the prospect of Maureen Lipman's portrayal of Mumsey, she'll have to go a long way to top Sandra Caron's performance in the role though. Sandra Caron's performance of Mumsey in The Crystal Maze is one of the all time great acting performances in my opinion closely followed by Sandra Caron's performance of Auntie Sabrina in The Crystal Maze.

I think they've got perfect casting for Mumsey getting Maureen. She is a class actress and as batty as anything so no really acting needed. I'm expecting good things.

It has also been revealed that Richard O'Brien will appear in a quick skit between him and the host via the computer.

Agreed, that's a fantastic choice

This seems to be the new arrangement of the theme.

It's been slightly shortened, but I like it. I would have preferred the old version was used but I suppose this is close enough to be acceptable.

I'll give Channel 4 their due. When it comes to making theme music for their revived shows, they tend to stay pretty faithful to the originals.

From everything we've seen so far it really does seem that this revival is being given the respect it deserves and is made by a team who absolutely love it, just like the fans.

Let's not forget crowdfunding has more or less brought The Crystal Maze back to TV. Must be a first?

There's nothing I don't like so far from the trailer.

Probably because it looks just like the original show!

The funny thing is some of the game rooms look bigger on this than they did on the show.

I do feel some will be disappointed by the overall size of Maze.
