Also people were asking on Twitter if that was a Richard O'Brien cameo during the paypal advert. I wasn't 100% convinced myself - just somebody in a similar waistcoat?

I will admit this has grown on me. I actually enjoyed some of Richard's remarks! And they went round the maze properly! Wonders will never cease!

Maybe Heather told them where they were going wrong. Wink Very Happy

Crystal Maze got 1.01m last night excluding +1. This is much better than last week. I enjoyed last night's episode!! Richard Ayoyade was on fire last night with lots of good one-liners, running around a table to inject energy into the proceedings and even ordering a contestant back into the cell who let himself out - to allow Ayoyade to earn his fee.

He certainly seemed more enthusiastic this week than last week!! It was a really good episode which followed the map of the Maze correctly. This has been reflected in the audience figures of 1.01m. It woukd probably gain more if it was not up against EE and Corrie.

I don't think we can directly correlate the ratings to the order in which the map is played, but do agree it was a great episode and Richard Ayoyade is brilliant. This felt like it was one of the early episodes he filmed, perhaps even his first. We had transitions too over the first two zones, though as usual transitioning from future was a bit disjointed. Even liked him taking the piss out of the exit to the dome too.

It's just stupid that C4 have put it in one of the toughest slots of the week - I'd have swapped it with Location x3 on Wednesdays to give it a fighting chance of significant ratings.

Does the Sunday and others repeats help I wonder with ratings

What about the 6th edition of Coronation Street starting on Wednesdays in a week and a half? That would affect it. I would put it on Wednesdays at 8.30pm or directly after the Great British Bake Off at 9.15pm on Tuesdays.

Think its less of an issue on Wednesdays with no EE at 8pm and an ITV sitcom to drive viewers to C4. It also isn't Friday.

Corrie will be on at 8pm though.
