The clock stays on 00:01 for longer than a second.....

It freezes there it seems.

Hope that in the non celebrity series they apply the rules rigidly, I haven't moaned about the stuffing of the token boxes after the whistle has gone or the additional help the producers/Richard have given contestants so far as it's for charity but for the main series it needs to be tightly controlled.

It's not Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. I'm not going to begrudge a computer programmer from Kidderminster if he wins a skydiving experience because Richard gave him the benefit of the doubt on a game. The rules have never been rigidly applied and there's no need to start doing so now.

Anyway: if the clock freezes it's because Tom got his hand on the door before 00:00.

No Crystal Maze last week? I thought it was moved to Thursday due to the sport but it seems it wasn't on at all?

No as the athletics was and then there is football for the next two weeks. The main series is due to begin in August so will presumably be the week after.

It was moved to Thursday the week before because the Para-athletics started on the Friday, and was still running until this Friday.

Nowhere near as well advertised as the celeb series but the main series begins in 10 minutes time. Yes, C4 already throwing it out against two of the highest rated shows in the country. Do think it suits 8pm better than 9pm, but they should have put it midweek IMO.

Family season?

Massive flaw in that last game.

Why not just not bother shooting at all and just shoot one, pretend you now and keep trying the six boxes till one opens?

Needs to be made an automatic lock-in if you get it wrong two or three times otherwise it's a pointless game.

Generally the difficulty level of this episode so far is the lowest I've seen.

I really hate to try and draw comparisons with the original show (it's inevitable, having seen every single episode of it umpteen times over the years) but there really is far too much chatter and personally I would have liked a faster pace to things, this feels more like a speedy jaunt around an interactive museum with a preamble outside each cell either side of the game.

All six games featured so far wouldn't have looked out of place first time round either (and that synonyms game was effectively a rehash of a similar game first time round anyway).

Family season?

No, every episode features a team of people who know each other.

Far too much chatter I reckon Richard A has already said more than Richard O in a typical episode.

We don't need a joke or a pun and 20-30 seconds of chat before and after every game and a re-cap after every couple.

I did think the casting was good for this first episode.

Your response and use of past tense seems to suggest you may be involved in the production of the show?

I like Richard A and his style, but there's still a little too much chat.
