I'm not noticing the padding to the point where I'm conscious of it. I had high hopes for Richard anyway but he's really impressed me. The references to the continuity is a great touch.
Why do producers keep booking Louis? He isn't even current anymore and just twists and twirls through any show he's on.
Let's not forget his other two 'party tricks' of (a) referring to his speech impediment at every possible opportunity, e.g. when seeing the spa in the very first zone and quipping "I can't say it but I want to get in it", and (b) making sexual comments to/about any male adults he can see, e.g. talking about how he escaped from the guarded prison using a method which "I doubt [Alex] will want to".
He seems to pop up everywhere and spoils every programme he's on with his ridiculous showing off and messing around - the best example of which being his recent appearance on Britain's Got More Talent when he decided to start running about and throwing cushions at people for no apparent reason during a segment.
He's dreadful. I look forward to him falling out of favour with whoever the heck keeps on booking him.
They didn't show the transitions between the zones unfortunately?? Which I don't understand? In the Industrial zone, they ran up the staircase to go through the door to Medievel. Yet, when they returned, it showed them coming from the (tunnel) into Aztec - even though they didn't show the tunnel.
Then from Aztec, they ran out of Aztec towards the river used to be. Then after the adverts, they came through the spaceship door into Futuristic? Even though there is a hole higher up the Aztec wall technically into Future. So why did they run out of Aztec towards the river??
And from Future into Medievel, they were vaporised into the Medievel zone from future. Even though we have seen in the pictures released that there is a log across the water into Medievel?? Unless these transitions are just there for decoration and are not going to be used????
For Charity specials like this one for Stand Up 2 Cancer, Louie Spence may be tolerable in the name of a good cause. For anything else, I'm sorry, I just find him irritating.

Otherwise, it was excellent.
It might be to do with Alex's disability not allowing the more demanding transitions?

I dont think any of the stages at Bottle Yard are big enough to house more than one zone. Not sure about the others, but Aztec and Future are definitely on different stages. Hopefully if this series is successful they will move to a larger space where the zones can be laid out next to each other.
My understanding is they aren't using the regular stages but unused areas on the site. I for one hope this show stays in Bristol and there is no reason the proper transitions can't be fudged in the edit if there aren't genuine links.
