David Tennant proved he would be a great host when he hosted the Doctor Who special edition of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. His facial expressions alone were comedy gold. I definitely think he could be a great host.

Another name you could throw into the hat would be Robert Llewelyn.

Hey, he could even morph into Kryten from Red Dwarf in the futuristic zone. Very Happy

I hope they revive the Computer and of course a Mumsy character. That position was sorely missed after O'Brien's departure.

If you really wanted to go down the Richard O'Brien route, someone like Jason Bradbury would be a good shout, although I don't think he has any acting experience as such.

Just because he's bald?

David Tennant would be excellent, but another Doctor who I could see getting into the Tudor Pole style of presenting is Paul McGann

They should ask Hugh Dennis to be on the celebrity team, simply for that performance. Very Happy

Maybe it's one of the vehicles they've got set up for Noel Edmonds... Laughing

Imagine Richard O'Brien hosting Deal Or No Deal and it would be less creepy than Edmonds hosting it.

He could hop around the wings playing the harmonica whilst the contestant decided which box to open. He'd then stop and turn to the camera and say "A child of 3 could do this..."

I guess "Mumsie" could be the banker!

Primark to be zone in new Crystal Maze

*

PRIMARK will be one of the zones in the new series of The Crystal Maze, it has been announced.

Contestants must try to figure out how to get through the endless throngs of people in the budget clothing outlet without punching someone in the back of the head.

A spokesman said: “If they can buy a pair of socks in under 30 minutes without getting locked in, I’ll be very surprised.

“Perhaps the biggest obstacle is the several hundred people queueing to return leggings that turned out to be smaller than they had hoped.”

The Primark zone will replace the Ocean zone and if a success, the makers may even replace other zones: “Medieval zone could give way to a House Office Zone and Aztec zone could become simply ‘Wakefield’.’

“However in keeping with the classic TV series, the prizes will still be ****.”

I love this. I saw it for the first time when it was mentioned on here a little while ago and it is so good - at the time someone also mentioned Dick and Dom in da bungalow's 'The Crystal Muck', which is also surprisingly funny in terms of the references it makes to the show. Certainly a lot more for adults in there than you'd expect! The children (somewhat understandably) don't understand what's going on at all, but the adults present are clearly loving it.

Is that David Schneider? what the heck

I seem to remember they had 'celebrity' guests on their last series. David Schneider was in some kids drama/comedy at the time
