Yes but obviously the live experience wanted a more modern intprtarion of a space ship. Could do with sliding doors and a few more buttons though.
Thought it was good the only thing that let me down was seeing the ceiling tiles on Aztec and I remember the future zone with more steel and computers??

I guess part of it's the limitations of being done in the experience. Apparently the Manchester one's being built with the intention of being used for a TV version so I imagine they'll address some of those issues if a full series gets amde.

What a wonderful production. Obviously a lot of the credit has to go to the creators of the live experience but well done to the production company for the modernisation of the theme and graphics and also for the hiring of Stephen merchant. He did incredibly well at bringing up to date the character of maze host whilst adding his own cheeky charm.
As for the maze (being the first time I've seen the experience) the sets are incredible. Medieval and Futuristic seem better than the original. The only thing that doesn't seem right about the experience set is the dome. It doesn't feel that grand for some reason.

Much better than I was expecting. Any flaws are minor and can easily be rectified should it go to a series. I really liked it.

Yeah no bridge or water
I thought Stephen was great though as the host.

It's not often nowadays a TV show just makes you smile but I didn't stop smiling throughout that. C4, Fizz and the team at the experience, plus all the talent involved, did a great job to respect our memories and deliver a fantastic hour of television which will hopefully become many more fantastic hours of television with a full series to follow.
Yes, there were the inevitable limitations filming at the experience meant, but I really didn't care. Three games per zone would have been nice too, but I think without the long intro we'd probably get that if it went to series, so again it didn't matter. Indeed I think it was all the better for not being purpose built and them having to think how to make it work for a one-off special rather than just throw money at it - meant it kept it's original charm. Also loves the titles - far too nice to only ever be used once!

Great stuff, I don't think they put a foot wrong really, love Merchant's take on the role and all the one liners.
They managed to squeeze in a good number of games, which was good going considering there will be more adverts thesedays.
Rio didn't seem to know who anybody was though whereas you could tell Josh was loving every minute.
The experience looked better than I expected. The only sign it wasn't a TV set up was the suspended ceiling and smoke detectors in shot. I expected it to look more obvious.

Just catching up on All4. The cameo from Richard was fantastic and Merchant has got the one liner PTC's to a tee.
