Just a side note, this wasn't the first Crystal Maze tourist attraction, there were actually 5 before it in the UK. Set up by Cyberdrome, they were usually at larger bowling alleys. The last closed in Sept 2010 due to licensing issues.

Yes but the current Crystal Maze attractions are far bigger than any of the Cyberdrome attractions were, which was pretty much a cut-down version of the TV show and was presented, or so I'm told, as more of a video game than an physical experience as in the current attractions.

Here's an archive report from 1994 from The Independent which suggests if you were expecting anything like the TV show you were going to be disappointed:

It did involve a lot of computers, but they did focus quite a lot on the physical aspect as well. (At least from memory) There is some images of the one I used to go to here:

I remember 3 physical games in particular. There was one where you had to swing on a rope across a "snake pit", press a series of buttons and then return. There was a small obstacle course where you had to take the "crystal" from a spiders nest, and an "automatic lock in" where you had to find a button in a room without touching the "lasers" (basically neon tubing). It was pretty fun!

There used to be one in Blackpool which I went to when I was young with my family. It was disappointing to say the least, with computer screens which didn't work that well.

I would advise you get to either of the Experiences - having done a tester session before Manchester's opened 2 weeks back, it is impressive.

Just gutted there's no silver tokens within the Dome; Little Lion say it's for fun so what's the point of them. Apart from that, it actually does feel like your on the show itself.
