The Crystal Maze - Live Experience

As has been mentioned in the Challenge thread the Manchester venue has just been announced and it's likely this will be where any future series will be filmed given it's a larger venue.

I'll write my views on this in more detail in the coming days, but it's very exciting.

From the artist's impression on the website it looks like the Manchester attraction will be based in The Old Granada Studios Stage 2 (the old Baker St set). This is certainly large enough to fit it all in.

Manchester tickets are available now. Looks like it opens at the beginning of April. Not much availability on the opening day so big quick.

Guess the series will film in March then.

"No talk of" isn't the same as "it won't happen". If what he's saying is true, they're probably going to gauge the reaction to the SU2C special in the same way TFI wasn't officially recommissioned until the anniversary special went out.

1. He doesn't rule it out,he plays down talk of a full series.


2. He doesn't make commissioning decisions at Channel 4.

3. If this gets really good viewing figures it's unlikely Channel 4 aren't going to want more.

The fact is they're (the live experience) building a bigger Crystal Maze in a TV studio so it's not even as if that obsticle is there. When they've gone to the extent of getting an orchestra to create the theme music it's clear they're after a full commission.
The producers themselves have even entertained the possibility in an interview I've seen.

Interesting that the Apps seem to no longer be on the market probably because Zodiak want to relaunch them.

It didn't sound very orchestral to me.

Well, the celebrity version and the normal versions of Fifteen to One have different presenters so...

It's a bit different as it won't be a daytime/primetime split.

Is the Old Granada ITV studios in Manchester larger than the original Aces High Studio where the original Crystal Maze was filmed?? If so, the Manchester experience (and TV show) will be awesome!!
