Then were forgetting TV companies around the world could start picking up the series, Isn't the Saudi version of the cube down in LWT studios using the set. It could be enough to keep it busy ie TV filming a few months or days or the public for the rest?

The rights issue is about iffy and I wonder if Zodiak would rather sell Fort Boyard. But I think if the tension is racked up the sets are better it could go worldwide.

I hope this Crystal Maze has a mumsie type character one of the things I didn't like about the ETP series was failure to create an equivalent character somewhere in the Maze. I'd have a few more characters dotted around the Maze should it be bought back to screens.

The makers have said that a TV comeback could be on the cards. Who knows? Would love to see it back, or even be a contestant. Was in love with the show as a kid. I even made a tribute site, thecrystalmaze.co.uk many moons ago and have spoken to a few former contestants about their experiences. Even contacted Richard and Ed too and got lovely replies from them both.

I remember the site will you be funding the project, Patrick?

It's filmed at Fountain.

I can see them promoting it at launch time with a special one-off episode on YouTube, with Richard O'Brien.

Given that Knightmare got the same treatment last year, this is more than possible.

If the set build was of any quality there is no way Challenge TV wouldn't be airing that, there is the rights issue of course.

If they could get clearance from Zodiak an idea might be to film every teams journey around the maze two camera people per team with loads of go pros on the set, then give everyone copies of the show full of logos and adverts. A poo load of this would get uploaded to YouTube thus giving loads of publicity. People could then watch the full DVDs with their mates.

My suggestion would be to have someone uploading videos thoughout the day from the maze. Of the key games and bloopers.

Anyone seen any word on the scale of the new maze? I've not noticed it in the articles I've read.

It's pretty clear that Zodiak are giving their support to it, so it will only be one more step to give permission to film there.

People are forgetting what this is intended to be though - it's not a TV set, it's basically a glorified team building day. Filming episodes of this would be like filming people playing the Millionaire pub machines.

I don't think that's fair really. If the sets are good enough, it could at least work for some online content if they're really good it could work for telly.

We don't really know what it's going to be like yet.

I think we sort of really do know what it's going to be like.

Your experience in the maze will last approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Some of the finest interactive theatre actors in the UK will act as maze masters to guide you through your time in the Maze. You're welcome to enjoy spending time and money in the bar and viewing platform watching other contestants go through the Maze before and after your experience.

Your experience will cost £50 plus booking fee. If you also want the t-shirt, that's another £15, a bomber jacket £40 and a crystal £30.

The organisers' intention is "to create a live immersive experience, not a TV show". Participants will not be able to buy a DVD of their experience and neither are they permitted to record any footage of their own during their experience in the Maze.

I imagine it's probably going to be a huge amount of fun if you're taking part (you're paying for it, so it should be). But I don't think any fan of the show is going to want to watch groups of slightly drunk mates being fed through the same set of games time after time, no matter how fine the interactive theatre actor who's working that particular shift is.
