As for Fort Boyard - when it first aired here on C5 I thought the end game was rather dull compared to the Dome

I know what you mean and I'm sure I thought that at one point, but the treasure had so much more to it, you had the tension of whether they'd won or not (although they nearly always had), the task also linked in with the rest of the programme better and then you had more of a show when they were collecting the coins, as it was interesting seeing all the different strategies and them dropping the coins etc and of course it was a real event.

I'm sure they'd make more of the show in one take, if they did remake it.

Are you saying The Cube and Million Pound Drop shoot versions for Germany, the Ukraine and Russia at Fountain Studios (or wherever they're taped)? Hmm.

Million Pound Drop is done at Three Mills Studios in East London (the original home of Big Brother)

I've had SRO Audience emails for Arabic and Italian versions of The Cube at Fountain. They were even offering £20-25 travel expenses "regardless of where you have travelled from".

Are you sure they weren't pilots? I can see why a foreign pilots would be filmed using existing sets/studios but I can't see why something like The Cube would be cheaper done in the UK than in a studio in their home country

I think very few countries have built their own Cube set. I may be wrong though.

On a similar but much lower budget note, Challenge [TV] used the Dutch(?) studio and set for That's the Question rather than build their own in the UK. The set literally consisted of three podiums IIRC but it was obviously still cheaper to pay for Sara[h] Cawood's air fare than it would be to make the show in the UK.

It was rubbish anyway.

And what about that Greg Scott Big Box Bingo show? Wasn't that made in Slovenia or something?

I remember he uploaded pictures of the set of that countries version of Millionaire on his Facebook page, which I assume he deleted me as a friend from.

And what about that Greg Sco

QUIZMANIA! That was another one. Didn't other countries use the UK set for their own versions? I'm thinking maybe Poland?

Possible but wouldn't the programming have clashed, maybe they sent an old set to Poland?

Channel 4 were approached back in 2008 for the pilot, and they didn't commission it because of the expense involved, so presumably for some countries it's che

Here's a link to the ticket page for the Saudi Arabian version of The Cube.

That Keffiyeh might get in the way of the wee ball, no?

For me The Crystal Maze was not as enjoyable when Ed Tudor Pole took over. I felt the show suited Richard O' Brian. I felt the same with Treasure Hunt when Annabel Croft took over from Anneka Rice.

On the subject of Fort Boyard I find the new version not as good as the older version. I think it was more suited to the hour format.

I actually prefer the new format - always felt half the game was pointless in the old version as the keys didn't really influence the game as much as the clues did.

Interesting that quite a few are still making good money from TCM.

Team building exercises taking place....

In the above look out for their build of the dome at the end.

And another one.

It's a shame none of these event companies have made an effort of creating smaller scale versions of the set.

And the guy who does all the Blockbusters titles mocks seems to have created a version using school children which quite a good way of making learning fun.

Of course till a couple of years ago, you could play a small scale version of TCM in Wales, shame I never went before it closed.

More short videos of that including the dome are there, but they're all short and don't give much of an idea of what it was like. Apprently there is still one is Saudi Arabia were reruns of the Channel 4 show are popular.

Of course the iPhone/Pad apps are quite popular and from what I hear quite good.

Any further current 'Crystal Maze' activity would be appreciated.
